10.2008 Second Guessing Grandma wins audience award for Best Short at the Fresno Reel Pride Festival. Fresno Reel Pride is one of the largest gay and lesbian film festivals in the US.

09.2008 Bob Giraldi’s short film, Second Guessing Grandma, has been accepted into the Raindance UK Film Festival, LA Shorts Fest, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival and MIX Brasil Festival.

09.2008 Using the Red Digital Technology, Bob Giraldi returned to his roots by completing a cross platform music video piece for the influential music duo from Japan - Dreams Come True. Panasonic will be presenting Giraldi's work through TV, Internet and large OLED, LCD, PDP, DLP displays at Panasonic venues and events.

09.2008 Look out for Giraldi’s latest restaurant, Butcher Bay, which is a casual East Village grub pub on 5th street dedicated to the joy of boardwalk cuisine. It is being built as we speak and will be open in January ‘09.

07.2008 For the fifth year in a row, Bob Giraldi has written, directed, and produced the trailer for the Hamptons International Film Festival. For the 2008 oeuvre, Giraldi used the voting metaphor to compare festival voting to voting in the upcoming presidential election.

07.2008 In collaboration with Stern Advertising, Giraldi directed the holiday campaign for Kay Jewelers. The commercial campaign celebrates the holiday season and each piece always closes harmonically with the distinguished logo "Every kiss begins with Kay".

02.2008 Bob Giraldi, in collaboration with McCann Erickson, directed another national commercial for the pharmaceutical company Viagra. The commercial continues the light hearted parody of Elvis Presly’s “Viva Las Vegas”.

01.2008 Bob Giraldi completed his short film “Second Guessing Grandma”. The story examines the coming out of a twenty-something gay man to his beloved grandmother and the mounting pressures of his live-in boyfriend.

11.2007 Urban Trust Bank campaign directed by Bob Giraldi is completed. The commercials feature BET owner Robert Johnson with visual effects completed by CLICK3X.

11.2007 Bob Giraldi completed another commercial for auto insurance “Allstate” featuring actor Dennis Heysbert. The commercial debuted nationally during the ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL.

10.2007 Giraldi is in development of the film "Second Guessing Grandma". A simple story exploring an important and poignant few weeks in the life of a twenty-something gay man who finally comes out to his beloved grandmother in the Long Island house he was raised in - in spite of mounting pressure from his west village live-in boyfriend.

08.2007 Giraldi completed a new film/trailer for the Hampton’s International Film Festival – the irreverent, animated short will precede each film at this year’s festival.

Fall 2007 Giraldi and the School of Visual Arts have teamed up to host a festival called the SVA Out of Hand International Festival, featuring content submitted by students worldwide that will be on wireless devices. Giraldi created a short film 'trailer' for the festival called "Shrinking World".

06.2007 Giraldi completed a new McDonald’s campaign with long time colleague, Creative Director, Lewis Williams of Burrell Advertising. Giraldi and Williams had recently worked together on Verizon’s MAKING HISTORY – a public service announcement for black history month starring rap poet J. Ivey.

06.2007 Giraldi just shot "Viva Viagra!" for McCann. The spot is a light hearted parody of Elvis Presely's Viva Las Vegas.

05.2007 Giraldi completed a new campaign for the popular youth orientated anti-drug partnership ABOVE THE INFLUENCE – the spots are part of the first broadcast effort by new agency, Prime Access in New York.

05.2007 Giraldi just completed two new campaigns; one for MEIJER’S department stores and another for LEVITZ furniture store. The spots were produced through DeVito Verdi with owner & creative director, and fellow SVA faculty member, Sal DeVito.

10.2007 Giraldi has begun work on renovating an old space with a lovely garden in
the west village, home to his new Mexican taqueria; DIABLO GARDEN.

07.2007 Along with long-time producer, Patti Greaney, Giraldi has begun negotiations with several Japanese high profile corporations to create HotChef.com, a new culinary, food-centric website in that country featuring the latest news and information about Japan’s emerging star chefs and food community.
